SOUSEIKAI was aired on Japanese TV station, featuring our ongoing COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials. The interview was conducted at SOUSEIKAI Hakata Clinic, located in Fukuoka City at the end of November.
“We have successfully conducted various types of vaccines studies for over 30 years. During this period, we have earned the trust of our sponsors, which I think is the main reason why we have been chosen as the study sites for most of the main COVID-19 trials”, stated Dr. Irie, Executive Director of SOUSEIKAI. As of this point, seven COVID-19 vaccine trials are being conducted or are set to be conducted at SOUSEIKAI. “The results from these vaccine studies will have a major influence over when vaccine supplies will be available in Japan, and potentially the world. It is hopeful that there will be access to a new vaccine, probably around next spring.”, Dr. Irie answered.
Currently sponsors are utilizing multiple sites at SOUSEIKAI for their vaccine trials, including multiple locations in Fukuoka, and the Sumida Hospital site located in Tokyo.
We understand the importance of the COVID-19 vaccine studies for our society. Although people’s hopes for new vaccines and corresponding pressures we receive are high, we are proud to be able to contribute to putting an end to the current devastating pandemic of the COVID-19 through our vaccine trials.
